| Bunions |
Misaligned big toe joints which can become swollen, causing the first joint of the big toe to slant outward, and the second joint to angle towards the other toes. Bunions can be hereditary or caused by wearing footwear too small. Severe bunions can be removed by surgical operation but in most cases just wearing footwear with enough toe room is enough to alleviate the problem.

| Heel Spurs |
These are growths of bone on the underside of the heel bone. They occur when the plantar tendon pulls at its attachment to the heel bone. This area can then calcify to form a spur. They can be treated by wearing trainers and doing correct warm up before exercise. You can also wear a gel heel pad in normal shoes to add extra cushioning to your heel.
